St. Charles: A City of Festivals and Fun

St. Charles is the ninth largest city in Missouri and lies to the northwest of St. Louis on the Missouri River. The Riverfront and Main Street area in the St. Charles Historic District are the central gathering place and focal point in the community. The area hosts several large festivals including the Christmas Traditions Festival, one of the nation's largest Christmas Festivals, which features Victoria Era carolers and a Santa Parade; the Festival of the Little Hills, known nationally as one of the top ten craft fairs with an entire weekend full of great food, live entertainment, and Oktoberfest, which celebrates the historic German influence on the city. If you feel like having an outdoor adventure, the Katy Trail, a 25-mile long state park, can be enjoyed by bikers and walkers.
