Set to the northwest of St. Louis and on the Missouri River, St. Charles is a riverfront destination best known as the city of festivals. Some of the festivals to await include the Christmas Traditions Festival, the Festival of the Little Hills, and Oktoberfest. Down at the Riverfront and Main Street area in the St. Charles Historic District are even more exciting offering endless shopping and dining. If you prefer the outdoors, Saint Charles is also home to the Katy Trail, a 25-mile-long state park perfect for bikers and hikers.
